What does the firefighter presumptive cancer list leave out?

Just because a cancer isn't on your state's list doesn't mean you're out of options. You may still file a claim, but a doctor must tie the cancer to your job.

In some states there's no list; instead, any cancer linked to a known carcinogen gets covered. In the table, those states are counted under "when linked to exposure".
